Begun in 1981, Hahnenberg Farm Market is in the heart of Leelanau County. Ed and Marlene Hahnenberg and their eight children have supplied the county's residents and visitors with some of the most delicious fruits and vegetables to be found in northwest lower Michigan. For a number of years, Marlene utilized its bakery facilities to produce her famous cinnamon rolls, cherry pies, and cookies. Today, however, the emphasis is on home-grown produce, especially asparagus, sweet cherries, and apple cider. A 45 acre farm supplies the market which is located 1/2 mile southeast of the Lake Leelanau bridge at 555 S. Lake Leelanau Dr. It is open from May through December, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and is self-serve.
Asparagus, strawberries, cherries, raspberries, sweet corn, apples, cider, and Christmas trees...
Hahnenberg Farm Market begins the year with hand-snapped
asparagus around May lst.
In June, we offer tasty strawberries followed by several varieties of
sweet cherries. Then we offer three varieties of raspberries.

Peaches follow. Following a U-pik peach season, we feature tomatoes
and pumpkins. December brings Christmas trees.
Our Titan raspberries are truly gigantic in size, sometimes measuring over an inch in length!

Cherries are sold in July. We sell only sweet cherries. There are several
varieties available: Emperor Francis, Queen
Anne, Gold, & several varieties of black sweets. After sweet
corn in August comes the apple season...and apple cider production.

Asparagus is hand-picked with the help of a specially built asparagus cart. Our fields are picked about a dozen times during the season.
